07.15.06 - Travel Day + Requests

After packing our massive u-haul at both the church and the Lovell Rd Burger King, we hit the road. We rolled out of the parking lot at about 7:00am, and had a great morning plowing through east Tennessee and Virginia. Some slept, some played games, and others just watched the chatted. Don’t worry, Pastor Craig and I didn’t participate in any of that…we just drove. Our lunch stop was a quick Wendy’s, and we were on the road again. The traffic was fine. We hit only a couple of spots of rain, and we had a great time together. Some of our time was spent running over our gospel presentations and testimonies, some of it was spent making Wordless bracelets for children’s meetings, and some of it was spent on practicing our music we will be doing this week. God was good in giving us a safe and uneventful trip together. Dinner was at a great little local drive-in in Bethlehem, PA. Their specialty was gyros, we loved them. I’ll post some pictures of the mighty gyros our team put away there tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers!

Prayer Requests

Pray for the worship service. We will be inviting people in the morning to join us for the service. Pray that God will be glorified in the edifying of the saints and the evangelism of the lost!

Pray for our part in the service tomorrow morning. We are singing as a group, a violin trio is playing, and Beth is singing. Some of us are helping with the children’s church as well.

Pray for our outreach in Coney Island tomorrow. We have an oppurtunity to go and pass out tracts and witness one-to-one with many people who will be enjoying the park tomorrow evening.

Pray for my voice. VBS took its toll, and I am praying that God will give me a singing voice for our outreaches each night.

Pray for the power of the gospel. We will be sharing the truth often, please pray that it will take root in hearts!
